kale & Pomegranate Smoothie
Place in a blender first the pomegranate's berries, then the rest of all the ingredients. Blend it up until all ingredients are completely smoothies. Enjoy! 🙂 TIP: For this recipe, you need a basic blender, this is one of my favorite smoothies, usually I drink it early in the morning after my workout and suit me a lot because is really refreshing with a bitter vein. 🙂

  1. Open a pomegranate in two halves, with a wooden tablespoon bit on the hard peel all over the half surface of your pomegranate. All small berries pomegranate will fall out. Pick up them and place them in a blender.
  2. Add a cup of water and blend your pomegranate. If you like, now, you can strain your mixture and to remove the tiny pieces of your pomegranate 's berries.
  3. I use a powerful blender, therefore I don't need to strain them, but in any case I don't mind if I feel some pieces of the hard pomegranate's berries :-).
  4. Now peel very well a pink grape fruit and add it to your blender , add the rest of your ingredients and blend it up for a few seconds! Your fantastic boost antibacterial smoothie is ready!! Yumm!!!

I do really like this smoothie, first of all, because I like a lot the grapefruit and pomegranate, besides, this smoothie brings me back to the memory of my childhood in Tuscany. I used to go to visit my aunt Giuseppina and my lovely cousin Marilena at the end of the summer, and, together we used to go and pick loads of pomegranates!! The health benefits of pomegranate are innumerable. Apart from being healthy, pomegranates are delicious as well. Pomegranates also have antioxidant, antiviral and antitumor properties.

They are full of vitamin C and vitamin A. By the way, probably the flavour of this smoothie is not really easy ...due to the bitter and sweet side of the grapefruit, but for sure is really refreshing and different!!
